Joining the source data
You can use the Source Qualifier transformation to define the user-defined join types.
When you use this option, you can avoid using the Joiner transformation in the mapping.
When you use the Source Qualifier transformation to join the data from two database
tables, you will not use the master or detail join. You will use the database-level join
types, such as the left and right join.
We will use the EMPLOYEE and DEPARTMENT Oracle tables to join the data using the
Source Qualifier transformation. Follow these steps to use the source qualifier to perform
the join functionality:
1. Open Mapping Designer and drag the EMPLOYEE and DEPARTMENT Oracle
tables into the mapping. Once you drag both the sources into Mapping Designer,
