In-Depth Information
common to all other categories, only displays information associated with the trip
itself. In the application, access to this process could be possible, in a Windows ,
Icons , Menus , Pointing Device- or WIMP-type interface, with the help of a menu
option or a button. Based on this, an action could be set off that would use a
selection criteria based on the category of the user (key-word Profile.UserCategory )
to display either a group of interaction elements called UIGroupNextDepartPro if it
is of the Beaver category (see Figure 9.10) or a group of interaction elements called
UIGroupNextDepartGen for the other categories.
Figure 9.9 shows an extract from the associated business process model centered
on the selection of a group of interaction elements to be displayed according to the
category of the user.
Figure 9.9. Extract from the business process associated with the display
of information regarding the user's next trip
In the two example screens in Figures 9.10 and 9.11, in order to take into
account the fact that it is impossible to be sure of the category of the user, we have
added the possibility of enlisting an action via the use of the Modify display button.
This enables us to change the display content from one type to another.
Thus, a user will be able to explicitly ask to have a screen output that is normally
associated with the Beaver category although he is in another category and a user of
the Beaver category will be able to ask to have the output screen associated with
other categories.
This manner of proceeding enables us to consider possible category changes that
could not otherwise be detected during the execution of a business process and via
an explicit choice of the user.
