- LIB2: so-called “hierarchical” library corresponding to the “museme” instance
of the mixed model. It assigns an orchestrated auditory icon (museme) to each of the
six main menus and assigned the variations of these musemes following certain
design principles of an earcon type to sub-menus such as, for instance, the variation
of duration, pitch or rhythm (see section 8.4.2.2 for more details on the construction
of this instance of the model).
- LIB 3: so-called “vocal” library using the traditional principle of voice
synthesis implemented according to a TTS type approach. This library constitutes a
sort of reference in so far as on one hand it corresponds to a limited case of
sonification. (It is generally agreed that sonification only deals with the non verbal
but TTS can be seen as degenerative case of the spearcon approach, i.e. with a
compression rate of zero.) On the other hand, it represents a method currently used
in a standard way in this type of situation. Vocal synthesis is carried out here using
the voice of Alice from the TTS Acapela 13 synthesis (see [LAN 10] for more details
on this implementation).

Finally, in practice, navigation occurs on a prototype model by means of a touch
trackpad that acts as a surface interface connected to a visual interface and, as the
case may be, in the context of a driving simulator (made up of: automobile seat,
steering wheel, gearbox, pedals, frontal screen for visual simulation and
stereophonic system for restitution of the auditory atmosphere) offering a situation
of moving a winding road where the optimum speed is approximately 90 km/h. The
