resistance decreases with an increase in the replacement ratio of RA for NA. This
behaviour is mostly justified by the higher porosity of RA compared with NA.
Figure 6.8 shows the variation of the ratio between the 7-day carbonation
depths of concrete and the ratio of the densities and water absorptions of the
mixture of aggregates and the 7-day compressive strengths of concrete. The cor-
relation coefficients are acceptable for the variation with the ratio between the
properties of the mixture of aggregates and good for the variation with the ratio
between the 7-day compressive strengths of concrete.
