Very small organizations may find simple groupware to be adequate to
their needs, while more extensive enterprise solutions may require more
robust systems to facilitate mobile, remote business operations. Within
these solutions, there exist three primary categories of technology, as seen
in Figure 6.4.
Each form of communication balances speed of communication and
consensus against disruption and impact on other activities:
