box on the ground, but this compositional harmony could be created in numerous ways, including by the use
of textures on the forms. For instance, the point could be made with a white texture that has a small black
dot, and the line could be a texture that has a single line on a transparent background, applied to two sides
of a very thin box. These are obvious examples to make the concept clear; you should try to have some rep-
resentation of a “point-line-plane” composition in your creations. By changing the spatial relationships, the
overlap, and the repetition of the points, lines, and planes in your design, you can create extremely interesting
compositions. It has been proven that humans prefer a certain mathematical density in our visual ield [4],
so let your visual ield guide you to the best composition.
