G0-enriched, or G2-enriched motavizumab, or bovine serum albumin (BSA) as a
control. One group was challenged with RSV on Day 1 and the second on Day 3
postdosing with the respective protein. Four days later, all rats were sacrificed and the
RSV titers in the lungs were measured. All motavizumab samples tested were found to
provide
2.5 logs of RSV clearance when assessed at 5 and 7 days postdosing (Fig.
4.13). In addition, serum and lung levels of all forms were measured on the day the
animals were sacrificed and the levels were found to be similar. These data demonstrate
that changes in the structure of the oligosaccharide side chain do not affect potency and
