8 You don't need the active path right now because you have it stored for future use. To eliminate the
footprint path, choose Window > Paths and drag the Work Path to the trash can at the bottom of the
Paths panel.
Drag the Work Path to the Trash to delete the active path.
9 Choose the Custom Shape tool, and then click the Shape drop-down menu to see that your new Foot-
prints shape has been added to the selection of shapes.
The saved shape is available as a custom shape.
10 Click and drag to create the footprint shape in the lower-left corner. Choose any size and position
you want.
11 If you do not see the Styles panel, choose Window > Styles and then apply your saved My Text Style
to the footprint shape.
12 Choose File > Save to save this file. Keep it open for the next part of this lesson.
Adding the Illustrator logo
In this next part of the lesson, you'll add the company logo. To keep the logo as a vector object, you will
choose to Place the logo.
1 In Photoshop, choose File > Place.
2 When the Place dialog box appears, navigate to the advps09lessons folder and double-click to open the
advps09_logo.ai artwork. Click OK when the Place PDF dialog box appears, leaving the settings at
their defaults. The logo is placed and has transform handles ready for you to resize and position the
logo.
3 Click and drag the logo art to the lower-right corner of the image, and then press Enter (Windows) or
Return (Mac OS).
