3 To see that you have converted your text into vector shapes, select the Path Selection tool from the
Tools panel and click the text. You can see that the text is no longer live text but it is created from vec-
tor paths.
Convert the text into vector shapes.
You will now change the way this text interacts with the underlying image by changing the blending
mode.
4 Select the text layer in the Layers panel and click and drag it above the Rectangle 1 shape layer.
5 From the Layers panel, choose Color Burn from the Set the blending mode drop-down menu. The text
now interacts with the content below it.
Change the blending mode to Color Burn.
The result.
Adding a stroke to the text
In this next step, you'll use a layer style to add a stroke to your vector text.
1 Click the Add layer style button from the bottom of the Layers panel and select Stroke from the menu
that appears; the Layer Style dialog box appears.
