In-Depth Information
If you do type a conflicting shortcut, a warning sign will appear ( ), along with a message indicating
where that keyboard shortcut is presently being used. To use a conflicting shortcut, click the Accept
and Go to Conflict button; to find a keyboard shortcut not being used, select Undo Changes.
You can add your own shortcut.
Photoshop does not allow a keyboard shortcut to be used for two different commands. When you
click the Accept and Go to Conflict button, the conflicting shortcut will be applied to your selected
command, but you will need to change the shortcut for the command that originally had that
shortcut. For example, the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+1 is used to show an image at 100% size. If
you were to assign this command to allow the spellchecker to appear, and clicked the Accept and
Go to conflict button, Photoshop would apply the Ctrl+1 keyboard shortcut to the appearance of
the spellchecker, but would make you change (or remove) the keyboard shortcut to show an image
at 100% size to something else.
Some keyboard shortcuts cannot be changed. These are the shortcuts used for specific functionality
where the keyboard shortcut must remain consistent, for example, in the use of channels.
