In-Depth Information
In this part of the lesson, you will learn to remove lens distortion in an image. You might have noticed
that the adjoining edge is at a bit of a strange angle. This is a good opportunity to use one of the more ad-
vanced tools in Photoshop to fix the angle.
1 Right-click (Windows) or Ctrl+click (Mac OS) fixer upper 1 and select Edit Contents from the context
menu. If a warning message appears, click OK.
2 The image opens as fixer upper 1.psb . You will now edit this image.
3 Choose Filter > Adaptive Wide Angle.
4 While pressing and holding the Shift key, click near the top left edge of the building and drag a line
down the edge, and then release the mouse. The filter takes that line you've just created and distorts
the image to follow your line.
You can continue pulling lines down using the Shift key but make sure that you do not go outside the
image area. You will know if you have extended beyond the confines of the image if your purple line
changes from a solid line to a dashed line. Don't click OK just yet.

5 Repeat the process using horizontal lines across the middle of the image.
