Changing the layer to 50% opacity.
Change or view the opacity in the Layers panel.
3 Press Ctrl+T (Windows) or Command+T (Mac OS); the transform bounding box appears. Click and
drag the image area to move the layer up so that the base of the building sits nicely on the pavement.
Don't press Enter/Return just yet. When you activate the transform control in Photoshop control
points appear to help you better control the way the transform occurs. You will use the center control
point to force the transform to scale down to the pavement area.
4 Using your cursor, click and drag the central control point ( ), (located in the center of the image) to
the intersection of the pavement and the building.
5 Press and hold the Alt+Shift (Windows) or Option+Shift (Mac OS), and then drag one of the upper
corners down to decrease the scale of the layer. Notice that the scale is controlled by the placement of
the central control point. Press Enter (Windows) or Return (Mac OS) when you have reached a scale
size of about 40%.
6 Set the opacity of the layer back to 100% by entering 100 into the Opacity text field in the Layers pan-
el, or by pressing 0 (zero).
7 Choose File > Save.
