6 Choose File > Save As to save your work. When the Save As dialog box appears make sure that you
are saving the file in the native Photoshop (.PSD) format and that it is saving into the advps07lessons
folder.
7 Return to the street.psd image and choose File > Close.
Adding a second image to the composition
Now you will add another image to the composition.
1 Choose File > Open and locate the fixer upper 1.tif file located in the advps07lessons folder.
2 Make sure the Move tool ( ) is still selected, and then click and drag the fixer upper 1.tif image to the
tab for the Street Scene Comp. Do not release the mouse just yet. When the Street Scene Comp comes
forward, drag down to the image area and then release the mouse. The fixer upper 1.tif image has
been added as a layer to the Street Scene Comp image.
When the drag and drop technique is used the new layer is placed on top of the last active layer.
3 Double-click the name of the new layer you just placed and type fixer upper 1 .
4 Convert the fixer upper 1 layer to a Smart Object by right-clicking the layer and selecting Convert to
Smart Object.
5 In the Layers panel, drag the fixer upper 1 below the layer named straightened.
Notice that the lighting conditions are fairly similar between these two images, although the direction
of the light is different.
