The walled Old City of Jerusalem is located in the eastern part of the city. Less than a quarter of a square
mile (about one square kilometer) in size, the area is historically defi ned as having four sections—the Muslim
Quarter, the Christian Quarter, the Jewish Quarter, and the Armenian Quarter—plus the Temple Mount.
