Use duplicate to create the other three button holes
Select the single cylinder you scaled in the previous step. Select Dupli-
cate from the Edit menu ( Figure 8-22 ). A duplicate cylinder will be cre-
ated directly over the original.
Move the duplicate to the right, so that it is 5mm away from the original
cylinder's outside edge. Use the selection guides to position the cylin-
ders. Repeat the process to create all four holes in a 2x2 grid, spaced
5mm apart ( Figure 8-23 ). Select all the holes and group them (the group
option is in the upper right of the window).

Duplicate vs Copy + Paste
You could use the copy then paste commands instead of du-
plicate. Shapes created with duplicate or copy/paste are both
editable. The difference is that the duplicate command copies
and pastes in one step and places the duplicate directly on top
of the original object. Copy/paste moves the pasted object off
to the side of the original object. Try replicating an object by
duplication, then by copy/paste to see the difference.
Move the cylinder holes to the round button shape
Select your grouped cylinder holes and drag them over to the center of
the main button shape. Rotate your canvas using the arrow keys from
the dark gray navigation palette until you are looking at the top view.
Next hold down the shift key and select both the cylinder holes and the
main button shape. Click on the Adjust menu and select the Align tool.
The align tool's guides will appear. There will be two black dots that bisect
the Align tool box that is created around the shape. Click the dots to align
