This map shows the ten generally recognized pasture areas in the United States;
the numbers correspond to the information given in the table above. Some plants
may be widely adapted to grow in a given area or they may grow there only under
limited circumstances or when you are using selected varieties. For example, white
clover shows up in all ten areas, but in arid environments it will grow only in
