The total time taken to run the read stress test is slightly higher than the write stress
test. Since we have tried tweaking the stress test for other parameters, such as column
size, number of columns, and number of threads in write mode, here we'll leave it for
readers to try the available options with read mode as an exercise.
Monitoring
For monitoring the progress of stress testing, you may use jmxterm or JConsole for
monitoring memory usage and threads. Figure 8-8 shows one such image in JConsole
captured during the previous run of read mode.
