Suppose you realize that your bookmark's name is too long to fit with
other bookmarks on the Bookmarks Bar, or you want to put it into a
different subfolder. Here's how to edit existing bookmarks on the iPad.
1.
Tap the Bookmarks button on the toolbar.
2.
Locate the bookmark you want to edit; this could mean tapping a
subfolder (like Bookmarks Bar) to view its contents.
3.
Tap the Edit button in the popover's navigation bar. The items in the
list gain red icons to the left of their names (

).

Edit the bookmark in any of the following ways:

To reposition the item within the list, touch the icon at the far right
and drag it to a new position.

Tap the bookmark name to change the title or URL (

on the next page). This is also where you can move the bookmark
to another subfolder by tapping the button at the bottom of the
popover. Use the navigation button at the top of the popover to
return to the enclosing folder, or simply tap anywhere outside it to
apply the change.
