to the initial groove you inserted from the
corner of the window out to the marker. When
trimming the edge of the bales in this manner
it is quite easier to cut the twine on the bales so
try to avoid striking them with the trimmer. If
the bales are rounded right back to the twine
securing the bale, the twine is likely to slide off
the bale. To avoid this, leave 20-30 mm of
untrimmed bale back to the twine. If necessary,
pin the twine to the bale with the metal pins
used for pinning the strapping.

Cutting a notching-out of straw bales
You will often have occasion to cut a piece out of a bale, as is the case when straw bales
are fitted around posts in infill construction. It will often be necessary to cut a hole in a
