This is the first „Reverse Shoulder“ in that the ball is part of the glenoid
component and the socket is part of the humeral component. It failed from gleniod
loosening due to the toggling effect of the humeral component acting on the head.
This was the first important lesson that we learned: Avoid unnecessary
prosthetic constraints where possible. Further, the device was simply too
complex with too much potential for unreliability.
