Using the path to adjust color
In this final part of this lesson, you will use the pen path that you created to apply a color change to the
flower.
1 In the Paths panel, click the flower path to highlight it. Notice that a new path was automatically added
when you created a vector mask in the previous exercise.
2 In the Layers panel, click the Create new fill or adjustment layer icon ( ) at the bottom of the Layers
panel and select Hue/Saturation. A new adjustment layer is added to your Layers panel and the Proper-
ties panel appears.
3 In the Properties panel, click and drag the Hue slider to change the color (choose any color you want).
Notice that hue changes the color; Saturation affects how grey (washed out) or vibrant a color is; and
Lightness controls how light the values in the image are.
4 Choose File > Save. You can now close the file.
