4 If Content-Aware is not selected in the Use drop-down menu, choose it now, and then click OK. The
teacher is replaced seamlessly with the blackboard. If you see a seam or other artifacts, press Ctrl+Z
(Windows) or Command+Z (Mac OS) to undo, and then repeat steps 2 and 3, making sure that your se-
lection of the teacher extends beyond her body.
The content is replaced with the blackboard you copied.
5 Choose File > Save, and then File > Close to close this file.
Content-Aware Move
Another content-aware feature that you will find useful is the Content-Aware Move feature. Using this fea-
ture, you can nudge or entirely move a selection in an image from one location to another. Photoshop will
try to seamlessly replace the original location of your selection with the content that is surrounding it, as
well as feather and blend your selection in its new location. As is always the case, this does not work well
with every type of image, but it can be handy when it does work.
1 Choose File > Browse in Bridge. When Adobe Bridge is forward, navigate to the ps07lessons folder.
2 Locate the image named ps0702.psd and double-click it to open it in Photoshop. You can also choose to
right-click (Windows) or Ctrl+click (Mac OS), and from the shortcut menu that appears, select Open
with Adobe Photoshop CC. An image of an eagle grabbing fish off the ice appears.
You will reposition the eagle in this image.
3 Choose File > Save As. The Save As dialog box appears. Navigate to the ps07lessons folder. In the File
name text field, type ps0702_work , choose Photoshop from the Format drop-down menu, and click
Save. Leave the image open.
4 Click the Spot Healing Brush tool ( ) in the Tools panel and select the hidden Content-Aware Move tool
( ).
