In-Depth Information
TAIPEI, TAIWAN
Taipei 101: When we visited it in 2010, Taipei 101 was the second tallest building in the
world. It was the tallest at one point, but was surpassed in height by the Burj Khalifa in Du-
bia in early 2010. It held the title of tallest building in the world from 2004-2010. Heavy cir-
cular structures are suspended towards the top to keep the building from shifting too much
in the wind at its extreme height. The following pictures include: a view of Taipei 101 from
outside, the balance ball toward the top of the building, and shots of Taipei from the top of
Taipei 101.
