In-Depth Information
Parade is pretty amazing. Our two favorite parts of the parade are the Headless
Horseman riding at full speed through the park and The Haunted Mansion's ground-
skeeper, with his dim lantern in one hand and his bloodhound, followed by a large
group of ghosts and gravediggers. Don't be shy: Wear a costume—about 50% of all
the adults will be wearing a getup of some kind.

nual Pass holders, and Disney Vacation Club members. The least-crowded events are
typically in September and on Tuesdays; tickets for the late-October dates usually sell
out one to four days in advance.
In addition to activities in the theme parks, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort &
Campground offers haunted carriage rides. The carriage rides include a performer
who tells the story of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman from Washington
Irving's story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” The rides leave from Pioneer Hall and
cost $60 per carriage. A carriage can accommodate four adults, or two adults with
three small children. This excursion can be booked up to 180 days in advance by call-
ing 407- WDW - PLAY .
Also check out the different Halloween activities organized at the Disney prop-
erties. Activities range from pet-costume parades, Halloween movies under the stars,
and trick-or-treating to costume parades and contests. Check at the reception for a de-
tailed schedule of events happening during your stay.
Teens and young adults looking for a non-Disney Halloween happening should
check out the party at Universal CityWalk . And if you'd rather have a monster with
a chain saw running after you, consider attending Universal theme parks' Halloween
Horror Nights . ( Note: No costumes are allowed at the parks on these special nights.)
