severed limbs, and other unmentionables. Exceeding most guests' expectations, the
Horror Make-Up Show is the sleeper attraction at Universal. Its humor and tongue-in-
cheek style transcend the gruesome effects, and most folks (including preschoolers)
take the blood and guts in stride. It usually isn't too hard to get into.

The KidZone consists of Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster and an interactive
playground called Curious George Goes to Town. The child-size roller coaster is
small enough for kids, though its moderate speed might unnerve some smaller chil-
dren. The Curious George playground exemplifies the Universal obsession with wet
stuff; in addition to innumerable spigots, pipes, and spray guns, two giant roof-moun-
ted buckets periodically dump a thousand gallons of water on unsuspecting visitors
