The Twirl 'n' Hurl is primarily eye candy for the Springfield U.S.A. section of the
park (where the Simpsons live), which was added to create a themed area around The
Simpsons Ride. Think of it as Dumbo with Bart's sense of humor: Kang and Kodos
are tentacled aliens who hold pictures of Simpson characters for you to blast away
at with a ray gun as you ride in a little flying saucer (who thinks this stuff up?). All
the while Kang is exhorting you (loudly) to destroy Springfield and making insulting
comments about humans. Preschoolers enjoy the ride while older kids crack up over
the snarky narration.
