Guests board boats for a water tour of Jurassic Park. Everything is tranquil as the tour
begins, and then, as word is received that some of the carnivores have escaped their
enclosure,thetourboatisaccidentallydivertedintoJurassicPark'smaintenancefacil-
ities. Here, the boat and its riders are menaced by an assortment of hungry meat-eat-
ers. At the climactic moment, the boat and its passengers escape by plummeting over
an 85-foot drop. Young children must endure a double whammy on this ride: First,
they are stalked by giant, salivating (sometimes spitting) reptiles, and then they're
sent catapulting over the falls. Unless your children are fairly hardy, wait a year or
two before you spring the River Adventure on them.
This ride is relaxing in the beginning, but it sure gets tense when the animals
escape. The big drop at the end is a lot of fun.
