Fantasmic!
has the potential to frighten young children. Prepare your children for
the show, and make sure that they know that, in addition to all the favorite Disney
characters, the maleficent dragon and the evil Jafar will make appearances. To give
you an idea, picture the evil Jafar turning into a cobra 100 feet long and 16 feet high.
Rest assured, however, that during the final parade your kids will cheer on Cinderella
and Prince Charming, Belle, Snow White, Ariel and Prince Eric, Jasmine and Alad-
din, Donald Duck, Minnie, and Mickey. You can alleviate the fright factor somewhat
by sitting back a bit. Also, if you are seated in the first 12 rows, you will get sprayed
with water at times.

In light of the skyrocketing admission price to the parks, I vote
to reinstall
Fantasmic!
as a nightly performance now Seriously, you did it
before, and yes, you can do it again.
The theater is huge, but so is the popularity of the show. If there are two perform-
ances, the second show will almost always be less crowded. If you attend the first (or
only) scheduled performance, show up at least 1 hour in advance. If you opt for the
second show, arrive 50 minutes early. Plan to use that time for a picnic. If you forget
to bring munchies, not to worry; there are food concessions in the theater. Because
it is only staged two nights a week, it is almost impossible to see the show without
lining up 90 minutes-2 hours in advance.
Unless you buy a
Fantasmic!
dinner package, you will not have reserved seats,
so arrive early for best choice. Try to sit in the middle three or four sections, a bit off-
center. Understand that you are out of luck if
Fantasmic!
is canceled due to weather
or other circumstances.
Disney offers FastPass+ reservations for
Fantasmic!
, but we don't think it's use-
ful because you must still arrive 30-60 minutes beforehand to guarantee a good spot.
Using FastPass+ at
Fantasmic!
doesn't guarantee you a seat, doesn't save you any
