The American Idol Experience
is your chance to showcase your karaoke abilities to
the world. Potential singers of all ages select a song and audition in front of a live
judge. Most singers receive a “thanks for auditioning” message from the judge, but a
handful are selected to perform in the attraction's next stage show, held several times
per day. During the show, contestants repeat their songs in front of a live audience of
theme park guests. As with
American Idol
, three judges (Disney cast members here)
provide feedback. For the most part, the Disney panel uses humor to tell you not to
quit your day job. Audience members vote to decide the winner. During the last show
of the night, all of the winners from throughout the day meet for one final competi-
tion. The winner of that show receives a front-of-the-line pass for the next season's
audition of
American Idol
in their local city. The last show of the day offers the best
talent but is twice the length of the daytime shows. The final show (usually around 7
p.m.) can also be viewed from outside on a Jumbotron screen. This is a wise option
(as is catching one of the daytime shows) for those who have to leave for a dinner
reservation or line up early for
Fantasmic!
