, Disney's idealized and immensely sanitized version of a modern rural African
town, with shops, a sit-down buffet, limited counter service, and snack stands. Hara-
mbe serves as the gateway to the African veldt habitat, Animal Kingdom's largest zo-
ological exhibit. Access to the veldt is via the
Kilimanjaro Safaris
attraction. Hara-
mbe is also the departure point for the train to
Rafiki's Planet Watch
and
Conserva-
tion Station
(the park's veterinary headquarters), as well as the new home of a long-
running live theatrical show.

at the Animal Kingdom was the precursor of the Broad-
way production of
The Lion King. The Festival of the Lion King
moved to its new
location in Africa in June 2014.
Try to score front-row seats. Kids are invited to play musical instruments
and join the performance.
