THE ENTRANCE TO ITALY is marked by an 83-foot-tall campanile (bell tower) inten-
ded to mirror the one in St. Mark's Square in Venice. Left of the campanile is a replica
of the 14th-century Doge's Palace.
Streets and courtyards in the Italy Pavilion are among the most realistic in the
World Showcase. You really feel as if you're in Italy. Because there's no film or ride,
tour anytime.
I love the Italian restaurant Tutto Italia. After a long day walking around, I
get to sit down in air-conditioning, rest my legsā€”and eat pasta. YUM!
UNITED STATES PAVILION
THE UNITED STATES PAVILION is an imposing brick structure reminiscent of Colonial
Philadelphiaandishometoaverymovingandpatriotic,albeitsanitized,retrospective
of US history. Street entertainment outside includes the Voices of Liberty choral en-
semble and the Spirit of America Fife & Drum Corps , among others. Across the
plaza is the America Gardens Theatre , Epcot's premier venue for concerts and stage
shows.
