Merida, the flame-haired Scottish princess from
Brave
, greets guests in Fairytale Gar-
dens, in front of Cinderella Castle on the Tomorrowland side, between the castle and
Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. Princess meet and greets tend to be quite popular, espe-
cially those involving princesses from recent movies, so expect long lines. If meeting
Merida is a must-do for your family, get in line early in the morning.

A real stunner,
Mickey's PhilharMagic
combines three fabulous ideas: Mickey and
Donald mix and meet with latter-day Disney stars such as Aladdin, Jasmine, Ariel,
the Beast's pantry servants (such as Lumiere and Mrs. Potts), and Simba; it employs
a form of computer-enhanced 3-D video technology that is truly impressive (it's the
first time most of these characters have been digitally animated, which will make
them more “flexible,” so to speak, in the future); and the whole shebang is projected
on a 150-foot-wide, 180-degree screen.
Mickey's PhilharMagic
even employs some
of those famous Disney scent effects and turns the old sorcerer's apprentice trick back
on Mickey.
Where other Disney 3-D movies are loud, in-your-face affairs, this one is softer
and cuddlier. Things pop out of the screen, but they're really not scary. It's the rare
child who is frightened—but there are always exceptions, as was the case with the
3-year-old child of this North Carolina mom:
