The guide map is supplemented by a daily entertainment schedule known as the
Times Guide
, which provides info on special Disney character appearances, shows
and performances, parades, and street entertainment. It also identifies attractions that
operate on a schedule different from normal park hours. If you're staying at a Walt
Disney World resort and the park is observing evening Extra Magic Hours, make sure
that you also pick up the
EMH “Evenings” flyer
, which lists the attractions that are
open late. All members of your party need to scan their MagicBands to participate in
Extra Magic Hours.

Appeal by age ratings
areexpressedonascale
of zero to five stars—the more stars, the better the attraction. The
authors' rating

which uses the same scale, is from the perspective of an adult. The authors, for ex-
ample, might rate a ride such as Dumbo much lower than the age group for which the
ride is intended, in this case, children. The
bottleneck rating
ranges 1-10; the higher
the rating, the more congested the attraction. In general, try to experience attractions
with a high bottleneck rating early in the morning (that is, 8-10:30 a.m.) before the
park gets crowded, or late in the day when the crowd has diminished.
With the opening of
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
, the Magic Kingdom has com-
pleted the expansion of Fantasyland begun in 2010. The first phase of “New Fanta-
syland” opened in 2012, with attractions and restaurants that quickly joined the
Magic Kingdom's must-do list. Parents with small children now race each morning
to
Princess Fairytale Hall
—a character-greeting experience—for the chance to meet
Frozen
's Anna and Elsa the way teens head for Space Mountain. Families line up for
an hour or more to eat lunch at

gic Kingdom (dinner requires Advance Reservations 180 days before your visit). And
now Seven Dwarfs Mine Train draws Disney roller-coaster fans to Fantasyland for
the first time—be prepared for long lines, or make it your priority as soon as the park
