PART FOUR
DINING
DINING OPTIONS ABOUND BOTH IN AND OUT of Walt Disney World, and if you're so in-
clined, there are a lot of ways to save big bucks while keeping your crew nourished
and happy.
EATING Outside WALT DISNEY
WORLD
1. A CAR HELPS Access to restaurants outside of Walt Disney World can really cut the cost
of your overall vacation, but you need to have wheels. If you eat only your evening meal
outside the World, the savings will more than pay for a rental car.
2. PLENTY OF CHOICES Eating outside of Walt Disney World doesn't relegate you to dining
in lackluster restaurants. The range of choices is quite broad and includes elegant dining
options, as well as familiar chain restaurants and local family eateries.
3. DISCOUNTS ARE EVERYWHERE Visitor magazines and booklets containing discount
coupons to dozens of out-of-the-World restaurants are available everywhere except in Walt
Disney World. The coupons are good at a broad selection of eateries, ranging from burger
joints to some of the best restaurants in the area. Though coupon booklets and freebie vis-
itor mags are pretty much everywhere, the mother lode can be found at the Visit Orlando
Official Visitor Center at 8723 International Dr., Ste. 101, at the corner of Austrian Row,
open 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; 407-363-5872. Here you'll find copies of every magazine and
booklet available. The center also sells slightly discounted tickets to the theme parks. Also
see visitorlando.com . The Kids Eat Free Card may be a good investment if you have
young children and plan to eat off Disney property frequently. It provides free kids' meals
at more than 50 restaurants in the Orlando area. To see a full listing, visit kidseatfree-
