LOCATION AND TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS
ONCE YOU'VE DETERMINED YOUR BUDGET , think about what you want to do at Walt
Disney World. Will you go to all four theme parks or will you concentrate on one or
two? If you intend to use your own car, the location of your Disney hotel isn't espe-
cially important unless you plan to spend most of your time at the Magic Kingdom.
(Disney transportation is always more efficient than your car in this case because it
deposits you right at the theme park entrance.)
Most convenient to the Magic Kingdom are the three resorts linked by monorail:
the Grand Floridian and its Villas, Contemporary, Bay Lake Tower , and Polyne-
sian .
Wilderness Lodge & Villas , along with Fort Wilderness Resort & Camp-
ground , are linked to the Magic Kingdom by boat and to everywhere else in the
World by bus. The new Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World
provides bus service to the Magic Kingdom twice and hour and to the other parks
once an hour.
BOB If you plan to use Disney transportation to visit all four major parks
and one or both of the water parks, book a centrally located resort that has
good transportation connections. The Epcot resorts and the Polynesian,
Caribbean Beach, Art of Animation, Pop Century, Coronado Springs, and
Port Orleans Resorts fill the bill.
