both K-12 and higher education. Again, my interpretation of poor design is
completely subjective. However, I do base my ideas on the principles of art and
visual design that I received at the Masters level and through years of working
in the fields of computer graphics and digital design. The poor designs that I
noticed were typically bad in fundamental artistic areas including type, color,
proximity, scale, contrast, composition, abuse of clipart, and use of poor
interface elements such as blinking text or excruciatingly annoying animations.
