Interview Conclusion
Getting insight into thoughts and challenges of creating a Web portfolio from
others is a great way to build a frame of reference and a starting point for
creating your own portfolio. Each person interviewed earlier was chosen
because they had no experience in Web design before they created their Web
portfolios. One common theme that arises from the interviews is that all the
participants realize that they will need to redesign the Web portfolio and look
at the process as a evolution of their own learning and growth.

with objectives in mind. Just as an author brainstorms before beginning to write,

used as a possible content guideline for portfolio development. These compo-
nents are identifiable and often guide the reader through the Web portfolio. This
is an important concept in Web portfolios and not just critical to those teacher
Web portfolios in education.
The criteria offered in this section is not based on one rubric but is an
assessment tool that can help guide you towards building an impressive and
persuasive Web portfolio in any discipline. These criteria will change over time
as the Web portfolio changes. What is important here is that there is no one right
way to create a Web portfolio because it is such a personalized information
instrument. Each person's goals are different, so the content, context, and
visual nature of the Web portfolio should be different in each person's individual
case. You should use this section as a basis to develop your own personal rubric
