COURSE DESCRIPTION
Title: LIS 000: E-Portfolio Design and Development
Description: This course provides the student with a creative oppor
tunity to develop an electronic portfolio that is posted to the GENERIC
U E-Portfolio Portal and the World Wide Web. Instruction includes
conceptualization and categorization of assets and artifacts for portfolio
development and technology lab tutorials in the use of digital imaging,
MS Office output to Web pages, and tutorials in industry standard Web
development software applications. Emphasis and final grading is based
upon completion of an effective e-portfolio

PURPOSE
This course is designed to give students a working knowledge of principles
of electronic portfolio planning and design, Web development, multimedia
skills, and new media writing. Students should gain an in depth under-
standing of the role of the electronic portfolio in the context of their
discipline, career, and lifelong learning.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
