Section 4: Wood; Raised Bed Examples and Ideas
The following sections are photos or drawings of Wood, Stone, Brick, Concrete Block and
other materials used to build raised beds. Figure 2 and Figure 3 are pictures of some of our
raised beds built from untreated lumber.
The beds are level even though the land has a fair amount of slope. The untreated lumber
of the raised beds are starting to show a little weathering, but they are still square and very
sturdy. The wood had been exposed to the weather for four full years when these pictures
were taken. The have changed little in the two years since then, so I expect they will last
at least at least 10 years in my climate. Notice our A-frame PVC Greenhouse has been as-
sembled in one of the raised beds.
