It happened in a second. I've noticed that it is often the seconds which matter. They can be far
more important than the hours. Reason is too lumbering a faculty to operate in seconds, and it
leaves the way clear for instinct, or for nothing at all except a bit of psychic energy flying across a
synapse. The glimpse left me with a deep and warm sense of calm and mental well-being, like the
cosmic glow after some astronomical phenomenon.
