Conclusion
Different video packets in a frame usually exhibit different loss-resilience importance
and different error propagation characteristics. For live video streaming over a two-
class DiffServ network, we have proposed a propagation-aware online packet
classification scheme to estimate and compare the GOP-level transmission distortion
of video packet in a frame. Under the resource constraints, the proposed scheme can
adaptively be aware of non-stationary error-propagation effect, and thus significantly
improve the determination accuracy of traffic classes and the loss resilience for live
video streaming over the two-class DiffServ network.
