Conclusion
In this paper, a new method for novel view synthesis is proposed to deal with the
situation that rendering high quality virtual image even with erroneous depth maps
inputted. Three main steps are proposed: 1) generate the initial virtual image by
bidirectional mapping; 2) detect the artifacts in initial virtual image and mark them as
“holes”; 3) complete these “holes” with the proposed HCH algorithm. The effeteness
of the proposed algorithm has been proven by experimental results.
