This paper proposes an efficient algorithm for detecting IR dim-small moving tar-
get in the sky scene based on the idea of TBD. The detection work consists of prepro-
cessing, energy accumulation and trajectory tracking & predication. The energy of
dim-small moving target is cumulated along the optimal trajectory sought out by DP,
which guarantees to eliminate the impact of low SNR. Pseudo trajectories and invalid
candidate targets are rejected by MSHT threshold, which is of great benefit to de-
crease the calculation and storage load as well. Figure3 shows the process of our de-
tection algorithm.
