Figure 5.62: In mesh coding, an object is coded as texture, shape and mesh data. The I-VOP mesh may be
regular and need few data to code it.

transmitting vectors which displace the nodes.
As an alternative to a regular mesh, an irregular or Delaunay mesh may be created by specifying the location of
each vertex. This will require more data initially, but may prove to be more efficient in the case of an irregular object
which exists for a long time.
