Disney's All-Star Sports Resort
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort (“Sports”) is themed around five sports—baseball, bas-
ketball, tennis, football, and surfing—with two accommodation buildings in each theme.
These sports are represented by much-larger-than-life icons of sports objects, and by them-
ing of the spaces between the two buildings of each theme to the playing field of the re-
spective sport. Dining, shops, and guest services are in Stadium Hall near the resort en-
trance. The main Surf's Up pool is just outside Stadium Hall. You'll find a smaller—but
still plenty big—baseball field-themed pool in the baseball area. (You need to bring towels
from your room to any of these pools; housekeeping can get you more towels if you need
them.)
All transport to theme parks, water parks, and Downtown Disney is via bus. At lower
demand times, Sports shares buses (except to Magic Kingdom) with sister resorts All-
Star Music and All-Star Movies. Shared buses stop at Sports first and Movies last—which
means that Sports guests are most likely to get a seat, making Sports the most convenient
of the All-Stars, and of average convenience among the values. The All-Star resorts are
Animal Kingdom Area resorts, and are the least conveniently located of the values.
Sports appeals to kids interested in its specific themes, but is otherwise thin on general
kid appeal. The rooms themselves have only the lightest theming related to their area.
Adults may find the theming garish, or may warm to the represented sports. All the All-
