Disney's All-Star Movies Resort
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort (“Movies”) is themed around five movies— Toy Story ,
The Mighty Ducks , Fantasia , The Love Bug , and 101 Dalmatians —with two accommod-
ation buildings in each theme. These films are represented by much-larger-than-life icons
of characters and objects from them. Found in Cinema Hall near the entrance to the resort
are dining, shops, and guest services. The main Fantasia Pool is just outside Cinema Hall.
You'll find a smaller—but still plenty big—hockey-themed pool in the Mighty Ducks area.
(You need to bring towels from your room to any of these pools; housekeeping can get you
more towels if you need them.)
All transport to theme parks, water parks, and Downtown Disney is via bus. At lower
demand times, Movies shares buses (except to Magic Kingdom) with sister resorts All-Star
Music and All-Star Sports. Shared buses stop at Sports first and Movies last—which at
times has meant the buses were filled by the time they got to Movies, making this resort the
least convenient of the three. The All-Star resorts are Animal Kingdom Area resorts, and
are the least conveniently located of the values.
Movies is much more Disney-themed than the other All-Stars, but does not have so rich
a set of kid-appealing movies in its themes as AofA, nor are many of its movies as widely
kid appealing as the Disney characters and the toys at Pop. The rooms themselves have
