In-Depth Information
• The “Sounds Like Summer” concert series is scheduled throughout June and July
in Epcot outside the American Adventure Pavilion in the World Showcase. This
series of cover bands doesn't make crowds any larger than they would be other-
wise.
• Tour groups are common in June and July. If you see (or hear) a group of young
kids walking around behind a 20-year-old carrying a flag, head in the opposite dir-
ection.
BEST TIME TO VISIT June 1-7 will have slightly lower crowds than later in the month, in ad-
dition to reduced precipitation and slightly lower temperatures.
July
COST All of July is Summer season at the Values and Moderates, with prices slightly higher
than Regular Season and slightly lower than Peak Season. At the Deluxes, the first two
weeks are Summer season, with pricing slightly lower than Regular season. After that, de-
luxe pricing is reduced further to Value season 2. The only exception is July 2-4, with pri-
cing $10-20 more per night than the rest of the month.
WEATHER July is among the hottest months in Orlando, with an average high of 91 and an
average low of 74 degrees. Even worse than the heat is the humidity, which averages about
75%. Rain showers also increase in July, with a 49% chance of precipitation on any given
day.
CROWDS Fourth of July crowds are the largest of the summer. The rest of July is the first
or second busiest month overall because almost all U.S. kids are out of school. Internation-
al visitation is also at its highest point of the year. Most other months have at least some
portion where crowds will be smaller, but not July. It is crowded every day. Crowds are
slightly lower towards the end of the month.
REFURBISHMENTS Rare.
SPECIAL EVENTS THAT MAY AFFECT CROWDS OR YOUR STAY:
• Magic Kingdom offers a special fireworks show on July 3 and 4. The July 3 show
is slightly less crowded. Epcot hosts special events and meet and greets in the Un-
ited States Pavilion throughout the Fourth, and offers a special IllumiNations show
with several extra minutes of intense fireworks. Hollywood Studios also offers a
special fireworks show. The Magic Kingdom show is the best, but Epcot and Hol-
lywood Studios crowds are more manageable.
• The “Sounds Like Summer” concert at Epcot continues. See “June” for details.
• Tour groups remain common.
BEST TIME TO VISIT As late in July as possible is best. International visitation wanes and pri-
cing at the Deluxes is lower.
