WEATHER Temperatures rise significantly in May, with an average high of 87 and an av-
erage low of 69 degrees. The weather gets wetter and more humid as you move closer to
June.
CROWDS Crowds are average to slightly above average through the Thursday before Me-
morial Day weekend. The earlier in May, the less crowded it will be. May 22-24 (Memori-
al Day weekend) is busier than the rest of May, but not as busy as other major holidays like
Easter.

SPECIAL EVENTS THAT MAY AFFECT CROWDS OR YOUR STAY:
• The Expedition Everest Challenge (May 1-2) is an after-hours race at Disney's
Animal Kingdom theme park that combines obstacles, a scavenger hunt, and a 5K.
It does not affect day-time crowds.
• The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival continues through May 17.

• Star Wars Weekends brings Star Wars characters for meet and greets, special
celebrity autograph sessions, a parade, and weekend fireworks to Disney's Hol-
lywood Studios. The event runs Fridays-Sundays, beginning May 15. Hollywood
Studios will see some of its heaviest crowds of the year on these days. With the
exception of Memorial Day Weekend, when Friday is the best day to visit, Sunday
is the least crowded day at the Star Wars Weekends due to people traveling and
those attending on Friday or Saturday because they can't wait until Sunday.
BEST TIME TO VISIT Any time between May 1-14, with average crowds and resort pricing,
cooler and drier days than later in the month, and the Flower and Garden Festival in full
swing. You also won't need to worry about the Star Wars Weekend crowds at Hollywood
Studios.

June

COST All of June is Summer season. At the Values and Moderates, pricing is slightly lower
than Peak Season. At the Deluxe Resorts, pricing is actually slightly lower than Regular
Season and significantly less than Peak Season.
WEATHER June is hot, with an average high of 90 and an average low of 72 degrees. Pre-
cipitation inches up with a 38% chance and the highest accumulation of precipitation of the
year.
CROWDS June is among the busiest months of the year as schools let out for summer and as
South American tour groups drive crowds significantly upwards. Daily crowds are lower
than Easter or Christmas weeks, but busier than just about any other time.
