CHAPTER 9
How to Set Everything Up and Get
Everything Done
There are three key dates to consider:
• Restaurant reservations open for booking 180 days before a potential dining date
• For those staying at a Disney-owned resort or the Swan or Dolphin, FastPass+ re-
servations can be booked beginning 60 days before their arrival date
• For everyone else, FastPass+ reservations can be booked beginning 30 days before
planned use
Building a To-Do List is keyed to these three dates because booking as early as possibly will
result in the widest selection of experiences being available.
The first section of this chapter outlines how to sign up for and use Disney's new My
Disney Experience mobile app and website. From there, we'll walk through customizing
MagicBands and setting up FastPass+.
Tailored to-do lists are available for each of the sample itineraries available at
yourfirstvisit.net/itineraries. For guests building custom itineraries, the second section of this
chapter discusses putting together a to-do list to make sure everything is booked as easily
and conveniently as possible.

My Disney Experience
If you don't already have a My Disney Experience (MDE) account, sign up for one by visit-
ing DisneyWorld.com and clicking the “sign in or create account” button on the top right of
the screen. An account is required to make dining and FastPass+ reservations, in addition to
customizing MagicBands and keeping track of each component of your vacation online.
If you already have an account and booked a trip through the website while logged in,
you should already see these reservations upon signing in. If not, link them manually by
clicking “My Reservations and Tickets” under the My Disney Experience dropdown menu
