In-Depth Information
OVERVIEW With more emphasis on healthy food and fresh, locally sourced ingredients than
almost any other restaurant on property, The Wave offers an innovative menu for all three
meals. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a wide array of fresh fruit, made-to-order
omelets, a smoked salmon bar, and all the traditional accompaniments like pancakes, saus-
age, and waffles. Less hungry patrons can order a la carte for not much more than the
counter-service Contempo Café upstairs. Lunch focuses mostly on sandwiches, burgers,
and salads under $20. Only a few tables are usually occupied unless convention goers take
over the space. Dinner brings signature quality fare at one-credit prices, including items
like the $27 Six-Hour Slow Braised Short Rib with Parsnip Potato Purée, Garlic Spinach,
and Glazed Rainbow Carrots, and the $22 Ashley Farms Chicken with Fingerling Potato
Hash, Applewood-smoked Bacon, Caramelized Brussels Sprouts, and a Huckleberry Bar-
becue Sauce. Same-day reservations are usually easy to secure.

Maya Grill
Inside the main building, down the hall to the right of Pepper Market
CUISINE Mexican. HOURS 5-10pm. DDP Yes. DISCOUNTS 20% TiW.
PRICES Dinner Appetizers: $7-$11. Entrées: $17-$30. Kids : $7-$10.
OVERVIEW Because of its high prices, Maya Grill's clientele is mostly DDP users and con-
ventioneers on an expense account, but guests who find themselves unexpectedly back at
the resort may find value in the $25 Chimichanga Platter or $30 Filet Mignon. Operated by
the same company as the so-so restaurants in Epcot's Mexico Pavilion, Maya Grill focuses
on Tex-Mex and grilled meats instead of the nuanced, regional favorites that Epcot's San
Angel Inn and La Hacienda are known for. Kids are unlikely to connect with the restaur-
ant's loosely themed Mayan motifs of fire, sun, and water, but their menu includes some
interesting options like the Quesadilla, Beef or Chicken Tacos, and Grilled Fish, in addition
to Chicken Nuggets and Mac 'n Cheese.

mend, is $66-$70 for adults, and $34-$36 for kids. Category 2 and 3 tables ($7/$11 less for
